Quick Release Coupling (QRC) also known as Industrial Coupling are devices which allow easy and immediate connection and disconnection of hydraulic and pneumatic lines. QRC are available for low pressure air lines and for high pressure hydraulic lines .
Devices can be quickly connected and disconnected using quick releasing coupling. These couplings are available with and without a non-return valve that can be mechanically unlocked. When there is no pressure, the non-return valve can be used to connect without bleeding the hydraulic fluid.
Some characteristics are shared by all quick-acting couplings. There are two elements to each: a plug and a socket. The male half is the plug, and the female half is the socket. When properly attached, these pieces effectively seal and lock the joint, containing internal pressures and resisting tensile forces that would otherwise tear the joint apart.
By disengaging a locking mechanism, the parts can be simply detached without the use of any tools.
